02. My first speech

My first speech

Attending Codemotion for the first time was an unforgettable experience. Not only did I have the chance to participate, but I also had the honor of being a speaker, representing Objectway with our talk: “What Dev-n-Ops Can Learn from a Tamagotchi”.

1. The Journey to Codemotion

When the head of the IT department I work for proposed that I join him at Codemotion, I immediately saw it as a thrilling opportunity to challenge myself and grow. Collaborating on this project not only introduced me to exciting technologies but also reinforced a methodology I strongly believe in.

The preparation behind our presentation was intense yet rewarding. It wasn’t just about crafting a polished demo; it was about sparking meaningful conversations and refining ideas through collaboration.

Seeing over 200 attendees actively engaged with our session and representing my company at Codemotion was a truly inspiring experience.

2. The Challenge of a 15-Minute Demo

For me, the demo had to be perfect. I spent countless nights studying every detail, refining each step to ensure everything ran flawlessly. It was an intense process, but my determination to deliver a seamless experience made it all worthwhile.

Despite having only a 15 to 20-minute slot, delivering a practical demo was no small feat. The effort behind the scenes was both crazy and fun—from fine-tuning the content to ensuring that everything ran smoothly in real-time. The experience taught me valuable lessons about time management, effective communication, and the art of engaging an audience in a short amount of time.
